Building high quality, unique, and and desirable turnkey vehicles is what Megarexx does. And they do it quite well. Their latest build, which started out as a new 2021 Ford Super Duty SuperCab, was upgraded and enlarged per Megarexx’s exclusive, hand crafted build process.
This F-250 XLT 4×4 is finished in stunning Agate Black Metallic with custom, diamond-stitched Medium Earth Gray leather with contrasting red stitching. It’s factory-equipped with power windows, power locks, TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission with Selectable Drive Modes, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), reverse sensors, and much, much more. Featuring 4.5″ Icon progressive coil springs in the front and 5″ multi-leaf springs in back to provide the necessary lift, this build has fully adjustable rear height capability, with Ford’s rear spring bump stops. It also features the proprietary MegaRexx™ stronger and longer radius arms, Fox Racing™ shocks, and an Icon™ adjustable track bar.
Each MegaRaptor’s body is given a package that includes all fiberglass parts, the steel halo that supports the hood and lights, the links for the tilt mechanism, headlights, tail lights, grill, amber or white lights for the grill, gas shocks that help lift and hold the hood open, and the necessary parts to facilitate the larger wheel and tire combination. The truck rides on 20″ 3-piece aluminum military MRAP wheels and 46″x 15.5″ (395/85R20) Michelin™ XZL tires.
To compensate for the MegaRaptor upgrades, this truck has been re-geared to 4:88 gears and the speedometer was program-corrected. The firewall is trimmed to allow more room for the 46″ tires, and a reinforced plate is welded in to fill the area. This conversion also includes a custom grille, “Smasher” front bumper, and Anzo™ Switchback™ headlights.
For power, the MegaRaptor utilizes a 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel engine which cranks out 475HP and a whopping 1,050LBF-FT of ground-pounding torque. As with all Megarexx builds, the engine is not touched and remains under full warranty. Because there are endless options for each build, no two Megaraptors are identical; each one is a true, one-off. The option list includes choices of body color, body texture, lighting, suspension, front bumper design, trailer hitches, side rails, spare tire mounts, and much, much more, including two different widths – a 12” wider than stock Generation 1 version or an 18” wider than stock Generation 2 version. In all cases, the truck retains its work load capabilities, as the bed is not altered.
“A Megaraptor is an emotional purchase ”, said Aaron Richardet, owner of Megarexx. “No one needs one, but they sure want one”.
