To paraphrase The Godfather Part II, if Chevy’s Performance eCrate taught is one thing, it’s that you can electrify anything. The second takeaway is just how seriously GM is taking electric vehicles as it eyes the future of car and truck ownership.
As part of that commitment, the automotive manufacturer is dressing for the car they want, not the car they have. In other words, they’re changing the logo to something a little more… futuristic.
You may remember three years ago when GM announced plans for zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion. The logo change is the face of that new vision but the $27 billion war chest they’re attacking the project with doesn’t hurt, either.
GM also aims for 30 new EV models on the road by 2025. Adding in that eCrate to the mix for conversions and custom builds adds another dimension to the conglomerate’s vision for the future as well.
